Holiday accommodation from Steinbock Lodges in the heart of the mountains
Our mountain lodges offer holiday accommodation facilities in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the largest national park in Austria. The region is best known for its large glacial ice fields, valleys carved out during the ice age, imposing valley heads and extensive forests and heathland.
The Hohe Tauern National Park also includes the “Grossglockner” – perhaps the most famous mountain in Austria (certainly the tallest!). With a bit of luck when hiking in the mountains, you just might see animals such as the marmot or alpine ibex. There are also many well-known trip destinations in the area, including the Krimml Waterfalls – the highest waterfalls in Europe.
Many of our holiday homes and holiday apartments are located in Zell am See, Kaprun or one of the smaller idyllic villages throughout the area. In particular, Zell am See and Kaprun have a lot to offer! A walk through the old town of Zell am See promises an enjoyable afternoon, as does a visit to the medieval castle in Kaprun.
