Lodge Eagle`s nest is a comfortable chalet (terraced house) with private garden, 2 double bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, open plan living room with kitchen and dining area, wood pellet burner. The bedrooms have good sized double beds, the master bedroom comes with an en suite bath with tub and toilet. The second bathroom come with a walk-in shower.

Please note:

The bbq area is only available from may to october (depending on snow conditions) and it can only be used with charcoal (no real wood please)
There are max. 2 dogs allowed 

During winter either snow chains or a 4 x 4 are necessary. The mountain road is a paved road and is cleared very well but nevertheless snow chains or a 4 x 4 may be required. The next supermarket and doctor office are both located in the valley at the town centre of Uttendorf which is 17km away.

The lake is a reservoir and the water is drained and dammed several times a day to produce electricity.
Therefore, unfortunately, it is not allowed to swim in the lake. The water would also be much too cold for bathing, it never rises above 10 degrees.
You can splash around a bit, let your feet hang in, etc. you can do it at the upper end where the stream runs into the lake. For swimming, we recommend our great bathing lake in the valley below. Enjoy your summer days with delicious meals on site, SUPs to borrow, a slide and a children's area.

Miscellaneous:
A hydroelectric power plant is expected to be built in the mountain by 2025. Please note that the work is being carried out inside the mountain so that our guests in Tauerndorf are not disturbed by noise stemming from any construction activity. We would ask for your understanding and can promise you that you will still enjoy the wonderful mountain world around the Weissee Glacier to the fullest. Without any doubt, you will be comfortable and feel at ease in the holiday apartments of Steinbock Lodges.

The Accommodation
The Gentian Lodge 194 is a charming semi-detached house with an inviting terrace and sunbathing lawn, ideal for up to six people.

The open living area with bright wooden surfaces and a cosy sofa corner is the ideal place to come together after a day in the mountains. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain landscape from the magnificent terrace.

The Enzian 194 Lodge offers an impressive view of the mountains, which you can enjoy on the magnificent terrace. You can reach the next ski lift in just a few minutes' walk. Further important notes
Your arrival:
The mountain road up to Enzingerboden, located at 1,500 metres, is well asphalted and very well cleared in winter. Snow chains or an all-wheel drive are still an advantage in this season in the Alps. Shopping opportunities can be found down in the valley of Uttendorf (17 km), here you will find everything for your needs!

Leisure Opportunities:
Not far from your lodge is a reservoir that unfortunately does not invite swimming. In the valley, the Uttendorfer Badesee offers plenty of water fun. Children will enjoy the children's area with a slide, while adults can let off steam on the tennis court or try their hand at stand-up paddleboarding.

Well-known excursion destinations in the area include the Krimml Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Europe, and the Sigmund Thun Gorge, the perfect place for an easy but impressive gorge hike.

In winter, just 500m from the chalet, the picturesque ski area "Weißsee Glacier World" awaits both young and old: Beginners and experienced skiers will find extensive slopes, and ski tourers can enjoy the snow-covered Alps. Until approximately 2027, there may be disruptions due to a construction site 600 m away. A hydroelectric power plant is being built inside the mountain. The work is taking place inside the mountain, so our guests in Tauerndorf will not be disturbed by construction noise.
