From Maishofen directly to the mountains
Set out from your holiday apartment in Maishofen for an excellent long hike into the mountainous world! The network of hiking trails in the region is very extensive. This is why Maishofen is the ideal starting point for your hiking holiday in the Alps. Maishofen is not just for hikers but also suits those seeking a great family holiday in Austria. The region is lovely to explore on two wheels, as there are also cycling routes with varying levels of difficulty.
Since it is not far from Zell am See, you can take a stroll along the lakeside promenade in Zell am See or enjoy the sun and relax in one of the lidos. In winter, ice skating is often possible on the lake. When winter arrives, Maishofen is a genuine paradise for winter sports and one of the best starting points for those long, thrilling days skiing down the magnificent slopes. Let’s not forget the other winter sports that are always in demand: snowboarding, cross-country skiing and ski tours – something for everybody when snow is on the ground.
