THE SIGMUND THUN KLAMM AND THE MYSTICAL NIGHT OF WATER
FASCINATION IN THE GORGE
Sigmund Thun Gorge inspires guests to enjoy breathtaking water adventures: where the Kapruner Ache carved more than 30 metres deep in the rock along a length of 320 metres to create a fascinating ravine with waterfalls and potholes. The masses of water assume particularly dramatic proportions when the snow melts in spring and these can be viewed from the wooden paths and bridges.
The “Mythical Night of Water“ enchants young and old during a guided torchlight hike through the gorge on Mondays in July and August. The elements of water, fire and earth combine to create a mystical adventure including a romantic camp fire and story tellers. And when the “gorge lights“ brighten up the Sigmund Thun Gorge every Friday evening from June to September, visitors can embark on a magical journey through the illuminated ravine.

HIKING IN ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN
SUMMER, SUN, MOUNTAINS – YOUR HIKING HOLIDAY IN THE ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN REGION
It is still early when you climb the steps to the gondola of the lower terminus to the Schmittenhöhe. A sunrise hiking tour is on the agenda – the gondola designed by Porsche runs an extra shift. Lake Zell is still hidden in the morning mist, the mountain peaks are already immersed in warm sunshine. The first rays of sunshine dazzle you while the gondola pushes through the fog. The sun shines at a low angle through the panoramic glazing into the gondola – time to take a picture.
Once arrived at the top, it doesn’t feel like summer – the mornings in 2.000 metres above sea level are quite crisp. But that changes after the first few steps on the hiking tour across the Pinzgau Walk. The guide marches ahead but not without commenting the view and the beauty of this hiking tour. He seems to be very competent and confident. You look at the glaciated peaks of the Hohe Tauern, over thirty 3.000 metres high mountains can be seen from here. You are happy, the hiking holiday in Zell am See-Kaprun has exceeded your expectations.

CYCLING & MOUNTAIN BIKING IN ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN
CYCLING, MOUNTAIN BIKE TOURS, SINGLE TRAILS & THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RACING CYCLE TOURS ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN SALZBURGER LAND
When the spring is coming in the sports region Zell am See-Kaprun, then it’s time to change our ski- and snowboard equipment with the bikes. We store away our winter sports devices and get our mountain bikes and racing cycles fit for yet another great cycling season in the Salzburger Land. We take the racing cycle and pedal across low-traffic side roads or climb the most beautiful pass roads, which take us directly into the stunning mountain world of the Salzburg Mountains. Once the mountains and summits are snow-free in spring, we get on our mountain bikes and go on tour through beautiful forests, on stunning high plateaus and to quaint, cosy huts. For downhill runs into the valley, we prefer the single trails and freeride lines at the Kitzsteinhorn.
